On St Wulfstan's Day, 19th January, Catholics and Anglicans gathered together in Long Itchington church to celebrate mass. Bishop William Kenny, the auxilliary bishop of Birmingham, presided, assisted by Rev Tim Britton, priest in charge of Holy Trinity Church, Long Itchington, Rev John Layborn, parish priest of the church of Our Lady and St Wulstan, Southam, and Rev Terry Hunn, deacon of the church of Our Lady and St Wulstan.

Bishop William Kenny preached an inspiring sermon!

He presided from the high altar.

Catholics received communion from Bishop William Kenny, while others received from Rev Tim Britton. Although Tim used elements previously consecrated according to the Anglican order, there was a real sense of togetherness as we all received at the same time.

The end of mass. Afterwards we had a bread and soup lunch provided by members of Holy Trinity at the back of church, which provided a great opportunity for getting to know one another.
Thank you, Peter Guy, for taking these photos.
